Rights-of-Way: New Lifeline for Pollinators @ Heller Nature Center | Highland Park | Illinois | United States

In May 2015, The White House issued the National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators, outlining priorities and actions to address severe declines in pollinator populations. Transportation and utility rights-of-way play a unique role in the initiative. Iris Caldwell, Research Engineer at the University of Illinois-Chicago Energy Resources Center, will discuss steps being taken to turn these properties into pollinator conservation corridors that promote vibrant ecosystems across a range of landscapes.
